The Great Inn (or caravanserai) was constructed in 1572 by the Ottomans. It was used to accommodate travellers and merchants from all over Cyprus and Turkey.  Equipped with all essentials, from stables, restaurants, mini mosque, shops, and comfortable bedrooms, it was the Hilton of the 16th century.  It is used today as a tourist attraction with many traditional shops and a quiet relaxing spot to enjoy the delicious Cypriot cuisine.
